Engineering

Procurement Engineer

Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to engineering procurement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and generate purchase requests, and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the requirements for commercial grade dedication.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in material and equipment receipt inspection, certificates of conformance, and certified material test reports (CMTRs).

  • Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of design and construction procurement responsibilities.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 or more years of related project engineering experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Candidates should expect some travel, dependent upon candidate’s location.

​Clearance Requirements:

  • Not required.

​

Work Hours:

  • A 40-hour work week is schedule.  Each workday has a 30-minute lunch break (unpaid).  Overtime may be required as necessary.
